A food bank was stunned to see a donated sauce can that expired 25 years ago in 1998. Volunteers noticed the label was faded and the contents looked odd.
The jar of sauce, which is at least 25 years old, is older than some of the food bank's volunteers.
The 25-year-old ‘Gratins Dauphinoise Cheese & Onion Sauce For Potatoes' was included in donation to Sunderland and County Durham Food Bank.
