After losing to eighth-seeded Ava in the opening round of the Blue Division of the Blue & Gold Tournament, the Buffalo boys moved to the consolation bracket and defeated Houston 68-57 Monday. Thus, the Bison are still alive in the double elimination event. Or, by the time most people read this, the Bison will have either won or lost their consolation semifinals game today (Wednesday) at 9 a.m. against Branson. If they won, they will play for the consolation championship Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Greenwood High School Old Gymnasium. If they lost, they were eliminated from the tourney. In the win over Houston, the Bison, 7-3 on the year, led virtually all the way â 15-14 at the quarter, 29-24 at the half and 54-42 at the end of the third. ....

Thatâs what happened Tuesday, Dec. 15 when the Skyline boys traveled to Buffalo and were awesome in the first half. They led 22-5 at the quarter and 40-13 at intermission on their way to a 78-46 win. The game was tied 3-3 early following a 3-point shot by the Bisonâs Pierce Obernuefemann, but then Skyline went on a 17-2 run that started with a layup by Kourt Cheek after a no-look pass from Jaytin DeFreece. Lawson Beem, who led the attack with 19 points, canned two straight 3-pointers, the first one following an assist from Cheek. ....
