Sunday evening, Sedalia Police performed a traffic stop on a green Ford SUV, as the license plate was expired. The traffic stop took place in the area of West 12th Street and South Osage Avenue. Officers spoke to the driver, and then performed a computer check through Dispatch, where it was learned that he had a felony probation violation warrant from Johnson County on original charges of Tampering With A Motor Vehicle. Tony L. Lawson, 44, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail with a $15,000 cash only bond. ....

Tuesday night, an Officer responded to the 400 block of North Quincy Avenue for a reference to a property damage call. Latreal Grant stated that while he was away, a person known to him had damaged the front door frame. The charge of Property Damage in the 2nd Degree will be submitted to the prosecutor.
 
Early Wednesday morning, Officers made a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to use its turn signal and failed to stop at a red light. The vehicle was stopped near Wilkerson and Moniteau. Officers made contact with the driver, and smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver also did not have a valid driver s license. Officers searched the driver s person and found marijuana. Ferris Lee Higginbotham Jr., 24, of Sedalia, was issued two City Summons; one for No Operator Status and the other for Possession of Marijuana. Higginboth ....
