MEDFORD, Ore. – New concerns around the Covid-19 Delta variant are rising across the country and in the Rogue Valley.
The highly transmissible variant is confirmed to be present in the Rogue Valley and local health experts tell Newswatch 12 that the Delta makes up about 80% coronavirus cases across the United States.
Josephine and Jackson County health experts are saying that because of Oregon’s methodology for sequencing variants in the state is limited, they have been unable to detect exactly which covid patients carry Delta.
