GRAY – Miles Albert Nugent, 94, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at the home of his eldest daughter, Anne and son-in-law, Chris in Gray, Maine.
Miles was born on July 19, 1926, in Brewer, Maine. The fourth and youngest child of the late Allen and Josephine (Piper) Nugent. At the age of five his father abandoned the family. Due to her medical issues, his mother was unable to raise the children on her own and Miles spent the rest of his youth in orphanages and foster homes. Although his childhood was less than favorable, he lived by the adage when life gives you lemons make lemonade. It would be nearly impossible to find a more humble, compassionate and appreciative human than Miles. ....
