LAKE CITY — Several months ago, April and Ryan Cicchelli received a call in the middle of the night asking them to come pick up an alligator in Lake County.
An Oak Park man claims his pet alligator named Karen "is being held hostage" by an animal rescue. The rescue was called by the Lake County Sheriff's Office to help after deputies found the gator in the man's car following a police chase.
The alleged suspect crashed and became stuck in between two trees before officers apprehended him.
