The Lincoln softball team ended its 17-game losing streak Wednesday, as it picked up an 11-2 victory against the Quincy Hawks in Game 1 before dropping a 3-2 decision in Game 2. The Blue Tigers jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning of Game 1 after Madison Garcia delivered a two-out, two-RBI single to right field to score Emily Williams and Emma Rakes.
The Lincoln Blue Tigers offense has been scuffling of late and taking on the defending national champion and eighth-ranked Rogers State Hillcats made it no easier Saturday at Vogel Field. Lincoln was blanked twice offensively and fell to run-rule losses of 12-0 and 17-0 against Rogers State.
