TULSA, Okla. - Junior Ryuhei Azuma started the qualification round of the ITA All-American Championships off hot with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Vanderbilt's No. 95 ranked Joubert Klopper Monday afternoon. It was a great day for Ryuhei, said Head Coach Robbie Weiss. The very best players in the country are playing here this week, so I am excited for Ryuhei to get off to a good start and play well. Klopper is an excellent competitor and is tough to beat. Ryuhei played a clean match and competed beautifully. I am super proud of Ryuhei. We will now get ready for a very good opponent from Baylor.
