Chase driver accused of breaching community order

Sentencing the driver to a two year community order with requirements to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and 20 rehabilitation days, Judge Peter Crabtree said: “This was certainly a case of bad driving but it does not appear it was prolonged in terms of timing or distance.
“Nevertheless, you overtook vehicles over white lines, you missed a central bollard by the sound of it, hit one traffic sign and drove at excessive speed through a built-up area.”
The judge said the offence was worth a year’s imprisonment, but made the community order as a direct alternative to prison.
Drew, of Philip Close, Melksham, was due back before Swindon Crown Court on Monday to answer allegations he breached the community order by failing to attend probation appointments. ....

Members of group that dealt cocaine and cannabis on massive scale can now be named

A GANG flooded Swindon with cannabis and cocaine – even dealing the drugs further afield.
The gang of six, three members of which have already been given more than 16 years’ worth of jail, supplied high purity cocaine and “designer” cannabis to dealers and directly to users.
The conspiracy can now be reported, after the only member of the alleged gang to fight his case to trial after he was found not guilty of conspiring to supply cocaine.

Ashley Hunt and Nicholas Bullock, both 31, were the two at the Bristol end of the chain.
Hunt was the link man – arranging drop-offs with Swindonian Kyle Rigley, 28. Bullock was the bagman; the man surveillance officers clocked handing over a shoebox-sized package to Jack Young, 29, and Kyle Rigley in Bristol on October 9, 2018. ....
