KUALA LUMPUR: Dhaya Maju LTAT Sdn Bhd today failed to get a court order to stop the government and the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) from instructing the company to stop work on the Klang Valley Double Tracking Phase 2 (KVDT2) project.
This follows the decision of High Court Judge Datuk Lim Chong Fong, who rejected Dhaya Maju LTAT’s injunction application on the matter.
Senior Federal Counsel Asliza Ali said Judge Lim dismissed the application on the grounds that under Section 29 of the Government Proceedings Act 1956 (Act 356), the law prevents courts from issuing injunctions against the government and civil servants to prevent them from performing official duties.

Shame on Supreme Court chief justice

Shame on chief justice
Kim should step down immediately
Supreme Court Chief Justice Kim Myeong-soo has come under fire for refusing to accept a resignation submitted by Senior Judge Lim Seong-geun of the Busan High Court, in order to let the National Assembly impeach him. Kim earlier denied reports on the matter, saying, "I did not refuse to accept the resignation because of the impeachment." In response, Lim's legal team disclosed a recording and transcript of a conversation between Kim and their client.
The transcript clearly proves the veracity of Lim's claim. This means the chief justice, who sits at the peak of the judiciary hierarchy, blatantly lied, despite his mission as the top justice to discern and dispel any untruthfulness. This single fact is enough reason for Kim to step down from his post immediately.
