The 76th Annual NEMO Fair officially opens on Monday, July 17 at 7 p.m., when opening ceremonies will take place at the flagpole. Admission to the fair is free on Monday, and discounted advanced season pass sales will end at the start of the ceremonies.
The annual Novinger History Day was held on Sunday, June 25 in and around Novinger. Among the new items on the program were a quilt show on display in the former Methodist Church at 606 Davis Street. Also new was Dr. Thaddeus Buckminster and his assistant (Jim and Evelyn Wilson), who spoke about the elixir they were promoting for good health.

Donald R. “Donnie” Pritt, 73, a resident of Elkins, passed away Saturday in the Emergency Department of Davis Medical Center. He had been in his usual health and his death was unexpected.
He was born Sept. 14, 1947, in Elkins, a son of the late Donald H. and Delania “Pee Wee” Gibson Pritt. On May 11, 2019, at Landmark Baptist Church in Elkins, he was married to Linda Louise Romine, who survives.
Also surviving is one brother, Edward Pritt and wife, Patricia, of Elkins; sister-in-law, Judy Kittle and husband, Thomas Bradley Kittle, of Elkins; and brother-in-law, Thomas P. Romine and wife, Brenda, of Elkins.
