Helping preschool children discover the joy of reading and the basic reading skills needed to enter school is what the Bookcase Project is all about. Officially known as Ashland County Bookcase Project for Every Child, the program is run through the Ashland County-West Holmes Career Center. This year, 80 bookcases are being constructed and filled with books to make up for missing last year due to the pandemic. In past years, 60 bookcases were given out.
