The annual event honors local businesses, organizations and individuals who have demonstrated leadership and made significant contributions to the Palatine community over the past year.

Updated 12/11/2020 12:01 PM The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of its yearly awards at its annual dinner, which took place virtually earlier this month. The winners were: Akash Veeravalli, who got the Rising Star award for community service under 18 years of age; James Parker and Cathie Johnson, community volunteerism; Roberta Sullivan, chamber volunteerism; Julie Selof, business leader; Elderwerks, community organization; Illinois Spinal Care, new business of the year; Leader Automotive, large business of the year; and Chicago Culinary Kitchen, small business of the year.
There were also special awards: the Chamber Alumni Remembrance went to Gale Cohen DeMarco; the Above and Beyond award went to Larry Moats of Moats Office Properties; and the Lifetime Community Service award went to Wally and Janet Degner. ....
