Julio Caesar Rivera was accused of a slew of carjackings in October and November 2021 when he was 18 years old, including a final failed attempt that severely injured Alana Castaneda.
Two years after the shooting, the suspect was sentenced to 45 years in prison.

SAPD said the suspect has been charged with two new counts of Aggravated Robbery charges stemming from an Oct. 19 incident.
