The judge overturned a previous ruling that had reduced monthly payments from Rs 6,000 to ₹Rs 4,000 as requested by the man's first wife. The judge firmly upheld Supreme Court directives and ruled that "a man who chooses to enter into a second marriage... is inherently bound by the responsibility to provide financial support to his first wife".
Even incomplete anal intercourse is an essential ingredient to prove the commission of an offence under Section 377 IPC, the Court added.
