The blast hit the Khalifa Sahib Mosque in the west of the capital in the early afternoon, said Besmullah Habib, deputy spokesman for the interior ministry, who said the official confirmed death toll was 10.
The blasts, which occurred in rapid succession, hurt several children and more casualties were feared, according to Kabul police spokesman Khalid Zadran and the city's Emergency Hospital.
Three explosions rocked a high school in western Kabul on Tuesday, killing several people, according to Afghan security and health officials.
The eyewitness said that the blast occured on Kabul's Fifth Taimani Street, Tolo News reported.
