MORE than 500 people have signed a petition to stop the city council from building homes on a beloved play park in Oxford. Campaigners say that New Hinksey Playground on Bertie Place – known locally as Bertie Park – is a ‘lifeline’ for families who live in nearby flats – especially during the ongoing pandemic.
