Nabwe Shines Again as Blue Jays Take Third and Fourth in Bismarck


BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Junior Annie Nabwe took first in three separate events on Thursday as the Blue Jays girls took third and the Jamestown boys finished fourth at the Karlgaard Invite.
Nabwe ran a 12.33 to break her own school record and take first place in the 100-meter dash. Nabwe also captured first in the shot put and discus. Eighth grader Julia Skari was the only other Blue Jay to take first in an event for the girls, taking first in the 300-meter hurdles at 48.79.
Junior Brode Hillstrom placed first for the boys’ team in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.95. Hillstrom went on to place third in the long jump and fifth in the triple jump. The 4×800 relay team of Gavin Haut, Chandalar Rott, Kade Schumacher, and Micah Hoke finished first with a time of 8:25:52, three full seconds in front of Dickinson who took second. Jamestown senior Daniel Ulrich took second in the high jump. ....

The senior guard helped the Blue Jays out of a two-game losing slump Saturday evening at Jerry Meyer Arena in a 66-53 victory over Bismarck Century. The Blue Jays are now 3-2 while the Patriots dropped to 3-1 in the Western Dakota Association standings. ....

Blue Jays Balance Too Much For Saint Mary's


Jamestown, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) -The top ranked Jamestown boy’s basketball team put 13 players into the scoring column and cruised to a 83-51 victory over Bismarck St. Mary’s Saturday afternoon at Jerry Meyer Arena. Carson Lamp (6′ senior) paced the Blue Jays for the second time in as many outings with a game high 16 points, included a game high 4 made 3-pointers. Devin Beach (6’3 junior) & Keith Levin (6’7 senior) added 10 points each. Beach’s points coming off the bench, aided 37 total bench points as the Jays bench outscored the Saints bench 37-3 in the game. Adam Kallenbach (6′ junior), 9 points & Kade Schumacher (6’1 senior) 7 points were the top bench scorers. Brooks Carroll (6’3 senior) 6 points and Ty Monson (6’2 senior) added 7 points. Shea Carroll (5’10 senior) also added 7 points and added 4 steals and created several others as he hounded St. Mary’s ball handlers all afternoon which led to 16 Saint turnovers. ....
