PUTRAJAYA: No elements of corruption were detected following an inspection of the building of an RM50,000 wooden jetty in Kampung Mutap in Miri, says the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
This follows public outcry over the alleged overpriced cost.
SIBU: The Public Works Department (JKR) has clarified that a RM50,000 wooden jetty in Kampung Mutap, Bekenu was built at the request of the village chief.
The 15-meter jetty was constructed as a replacement for an older, damaged jetty.
