A Boulder County district judge late Monday rejected the county’s motion to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a neighborhood group that opposes a planned housing development southwest of Longmont, even though his order upheld parts of the county’s claims. In regards to the Kanemoto Estates annexation and other development proposals in which we take an interest as part of our work providing homeownership opportunities to our workforce, it is discouraging when it is portrayed as housing versus open space. Both are good and necessary to maintain the high quality of life we enjoy in the Longmont area.
