Aaftab Poonawala, the accused in the murder of his live-in partner Shraddha Walker had shifted belongings from his flat in Maharashtra's Vasai flat to Delhi this June in order to give an impression that his girlfriend had left him and he needed all the household essentials, Delhi Police said on Tuesday.
The Delhi Police probing the Shraddha Walker murder case reached Mumbai's Mira Road area on Sunday in connection with the investigation.
The police also deployed teams to drain a pond after the accused man reportedly told officials that he threw the head and some other body parts there.
The Delhi police will interrogate the staff of a five-star hotel in Mumbai where the murder accused Aftab Poonawalla worked as a trainee chef.
