“The BDA is at liberty to generate funds for the development of layouts under its jurisdiction. However, its decision to allocate funds raised by mortgaging vacant corner sites of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout for the development of other layouts is concerning,” the NKLOF stated in the letter to the Chief Minister.
The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has started the allotment process for 10,000 sites in the new BDA layout, Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout, after eight years. Apply for the sites online and offline from Jan 25. The sites will be sold at Rs 4,900 per square foot. The layout, named Dr Shivaram Karanth Layout, has an open space of 58% and includes roads, parks, civic amenity sites, and a stadium. Transparent allotment of plots as per Supreme Court order.
