FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 referees training
The FIFA Women's World Cup kicked off on Thursday (Jul. 20). If the focus will be on the players, referees on the pitch will also make history. 33 female referees will officiate in the 9th edition of the tournament hosted by New Zealand and Australia.
A record number of U.S. referees, including one mother of three, are on track to call games during the Women's World Cup.
Seitz says this summer's tournament "will be the best World Cup ever."
