With the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services expanding the eligibility criteria to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, MidMichigan Health will continue to schedule vaccinations via its COVID Hotline.
The recently announced dates and criteria are:
Beginning Monday, March 8:

The City of Midland Engineering Department is ramping up for another busy construction season in 2021 with a variety of street reconstruction, resurfacing, and water main replacement projects on this year’s list.
Planned high-traffic improvements include street reconstruction and water main replacement projects on E. Wheeler Street from Swede Avenue to US-10 and Sturgeon Avenue from N. Saginaw Road to W. Wackerly Street and a street resurfacing project on S. Saginaw Road from E. Patrick Road to Dartmouth Drive.

Tuesday, Feb. 16
10:49 p.m. — Deputies were dispatched to a Mount Haley Township residence in reference to a possible domestic assault. A 35-year-old woman reported she was strangled and assaulted by her 33-year-old boyfriend. The man had left the residence prior to deputies arriving, and was not located. The woman suffered minor injuries but refused EMS.

All Midland Public Schools are closed today, Tuesday, Feb. 16, due to inclement weather.
MPS Superintendent Michael Sharrow wrote in a tweet early Tuesday morning that a decision regarding scheduled afternoon and evening events will be made by noon.
