For ice cream lovers, Finn & Quinn ice cream is available in its own mini-freezer at Kayak Kafé Midtown. “It all started in the midst of the pandemic,” Monique Silén said of her own ice cream origin story, which was born out of her desire to find a “little creative outlet” during this past year. She added, “I always thought, ‘How great would it be to have a small-batch ice cream shop here?’” Born and raised in Panama, Silén referenced her roots and the wealth of creameries and parlors in her home country and said she wanted to recreate the familiar in Savannah, “something local, using really good, quality ingredients, [that] plays on the whole small-town” sensibility. ....
