The Fitchburg Health Department held the annual Community Resource Fair on Oct. 19 and drew hundreds of attendees to discover the full breadth of services available among the 70 tables representing state and local organizations. In particular, the Health and Police Depts. are promoting the upcoming National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 28.
In the lead-up to International Overdose Awareness Day on Aug. 31, the Fitchburg community gathered at the Upper Common last Thursday to remember those lives lost to drugs, and to give comfort to the families and friends left behind.
