In the courts: Sherfield man accused of making gun
Basingstoke Magistrates Court. A man has appeared in court accused of manufacturing a gun. Alistair McGowan, of Reading Road in Sherfield-on-Loddon, was allegedly found in possession of the firearm on Sunday, April 25, and it is claimed by police that he intended to sell it. The 47-year-old has been remanded in custody pending his next hearing at Winchester Crown Court. No plea has been entered to either charge.
