US HIS LINE OF THINKING WHEN HE PULLED OUT HIS GUN. >> PROSECUTORS SAY, THIS MAN, 26-YEAR-OLD RODNEY ROBINSON, SHOT AND CRITICALLY INJURED A 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL FRIDAY NIGHT. POLICE SAY SECONDS EARLIER, THE GIRL STOLE ROBINSON’S CAR AT THIS MOBIL GAS STATIONN I KENOSHA. ACCORDING TO THE CRINAMI COMPLAINT, ROBINSON TOLD POLICE HE SAW THE GIRL GET INTO HIS CAR, WHICH HLEE FT RUNNING. AS SHE DROVE OFF ROBINSON YELLED , FOR THEM STOTOP. THEN THE CONCEAL CARRY PERMIT HOLDER SAYS HE REACHED FOR HIS GUN AND FIRED TELLING IN VESTIGATORS HE WAS TRYING TO SHOOT OUT THE BACK PASSENGER SIDE TIRE TO STOP THE VEHICLE ", WAS NOT SHOOTING AT THE GIRL. INVESTIGATORS FOUND 6 SHELL CASINGS. THE 13-YEAR-OLD WAS SHOT IN THE BACK AND CRASHED INTO A FENCE. WHEN QUESTIONED AFTER THE SHOOTING, ROBINSON TOLD POLICE, HEID DN’T REALIZE HE STRUCK THE GIRL UNTIL HE SAW HER BLEENGDI AND TRIED TO HELP UNTIL OFFICERS ARRIVED. AFTER ADMITTING TO SHOOTINATG THE CAR, THEY ARRESTED HIM. THE SHOOTING WAS CAPTURED ON THE GAS STATION SURVLLEIANCE CAMERAS. THEY’RE ONLY RELEASING THAT VIDEO TO POLICE. IT COULD BE A CRITICAL PIECE OF EVIDENCE IN THE CASE. A DETECTIVE WHO WATCHED THE SURVEILLENCE SAID ROBINSON’S STORY MATCHED THE SURVEILLANCE. ROBINSON ALSO TOLD THE DETECTIVE, HE FIRED BECAUSE HE WAS TOLD IN CCW TRAINING, HE COULD SHOOT TO DEFEND HIMSF EL HIS PROPERTY. KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) — A judge on Friday set a Jan. 10 trial date for a Wisconsin man charged with killing three people and wounding three others in a shooting at a crowded bar.
Rakayo Vinson, 24, of Kenosha, pleaded not guilty to three counts of first-degree intentional homicide and three counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide in the April 18 shooting at Somers House Tavern in the village of Somers in Kenosha County. He would face life in prison if convicted on any of the counts.
Kenosha County Court Commissioner Loren Keating set the trial date after finding probably cause during a preliminary hearing on Friday.
