A public meeting will be held this morning on the city’s Official Plan. City Planner Kevan Sumner says the review is provincially mandated and has to be done every five to ten years. “You know the long term vision of a plan like this is looking forward two decades in the future,” says Sumner. “Though it tends to be a little bit more focused on what’s happening in the next five to ten years because things can be so unpredictable in the long term.” The Official plan meeting will take place virtually at 11 am this morning prior to the open meeting of council.
