Russia attacked Ukraine’s western Khmelnytskyi Oblast with drones overnight on Aug. 19, damaging nearly 400 buildings, Serhii Tiurin, first deputy head of the Khmelnytskyi Oblast Military Administration, told Suspilne media outlet.
The strike occurred in the northern Russian region of Novgorod for the first time since the start of the war.
Chernihiv City Council did not approve or authorize the drone exhibition, which might have been the target of the Russian missile attack, its press service said in a statement on Telegram on Aug. 19.
Ukrainian forces conducted counteroffensive operations on at least three sectors of the front on August 15 and reportedly advanced in Luhansk Oblast and western Zaporizhia Oblast. The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces continued
