Strong Foundation reopens William 'Kid' Franklin club in west Montgomery
A spark only needs a little wind to spread and catch hold, City Councilwoman Audrey Graham said during the ribbon cutting ceremony of the newly renovated William 'Kid' Franklin Club on Friday morning. In her west Montgomery district, which has suffered with blight, the reinvestment into the community center represents a spark that could transform more of the community. Abandoned in 2009, the former Boys and Girls Club needed a new roof, new floor, new windows and so much more.
