WHEN 17-year-old Brad Hickman’s mother was diagnosed with a brain tumour at the age of 43 it was devastating news for the family. There had been no warning. The receptionist at Windsor High School, Halesowen, suffered three seizures one day in December 2010. She got her diagnosis in January and was dead within a few months – on May 11, 2011.
