A total of 65 individuals were paid in excess of £100,000 by councils in south east London, according to a 'rich list' compiled by a right-wing pressure group.  The figures, for the 2019/20 financial year, have been published by the Taxpayers' Alliance as part of its latest annual findings. A banned drink-driver has been jailed for 18 weeks because of his history of offending. Neil Aston Beckford, aged 50, of Brandhall Court, Oldbury, admitted driving a silver Audi in Pound Road while over the limit. He also admitted driving whole disqualified and without insurance. A Dudley man has been given a suspended jailed sentence for racially abusing three police officers. Mohammed Amin Salim, aged 32, of Blackacre Road, admitted three racially aggravated charges and was sentenced to a total of 40 weeks in jail, suspended for 18 months.
