The New Mexico police officers who fatally shot homeowner Robert Dotson in his doorway in 2023 will not face criminal charges, state officials said.
“I feel they are held to a different standard than the rest of us,” Kimberly Dotson tells Inside Edition after police fatally shot her husband 10 months ago. “We thought that we were being broken into or under attack. We weren’t quite sure.”
The Dotson family is demanding change in policing like better education, support, and training in de-escalation.
