The No. 15 seed Sun Devil Softball begins the postseason trek to Oklahoma City and Championship glory as host of the NCAA's Tempe Regional starting this Thursday, May 20, at 7 p.m. on ESPN3.

ASU Softball: No. 14 Sun Devils run-rule Utah in series opener Share this story Brady Vernon It was the Halle Harger, Kindra and Maddi Hackbarth show in Salt Lake City on Thursday. No. 14 Arizona State (20-8, 3-4 Pac-12) run-ruled Utah (11-14, 0-7) 9-1 behind the trio’s efforts offensively. Harger belted a pair of doubles to get the bats rolling. She drove in the first run of the game in the second inning with her first double. Another ball flew over the head of Utah’s Haley Denning off Harger’s bat in the third to plate two more runs. She finished 2-for-3 with three RBIs.

Mar 14, 2021 TEMPE, Ariz. --  In the final matchup of a two-game series against Baylor University, the Arizona State softball team fell, 7-2, on a rare cold morning and cold bat day at Alberta B. Farrington Softball Stadium. The Sun Devils (17-2) led the majority of the game until the sixth inning when the Bears (15-4) picked up two bunt singles in a row and ran with the momentum to take the lead.  From there on the Sun Devils failed to mount any momentum. The bats went cold today as the Sun Devils were out hit, 7-6, and burned through the entire pitching staff in the seven-inning bout.
