New Delhi: The 10th round of dialogue between the government and farmers’ representatives began Wednesday here in the national capital amid expectations of a solution to end the deadlock as the protest by the farmers on the Delhi borders continued for the 56th day.
However, there is no signal from both sides so far indicating any fruitful decision to end the protest as farmers are still sticking to their demands on withdrawal of three contentious farm laws and guarantee on Minimum Support Price (MSP), and the government is adamant not to repeal the agriculture acts enacted in September during Monsoon Session of Parliament last year. ....

The ruling came on a batch of petitions challenging the validity of the three farm laws. A detailed order is expected later today. During the hearing, the chief justice said the court will pass an interim order saying the no farmers land can be sold for contract farming till the matter is resolved.
Before pronouncing the order, the bench commenced the hearing and urged the farmers unions to cooperate and go before the committee to be appointed by it to resolve the dispute.
“We are concerned about only the validity of the laws and also about protecting the life and property of citizens affected by protests,” said Justice Bobde. “We are trying to solve the problem in accordance with the powers we have.” ....

New Delhi, Jan 8 (IANS): Amid the ongoing farmers protest, the eighth round of dialogue between the government and 41 farm union representatives began here on Friday, with both sides hoping for a successful conversation to yield results and end the over one-and-a-half-month deadlock.
The government began the talks signalling an outcome of positive results from the meeting while the farmers threatened to intensify the stir if their demand to repeal three contentious farm laws is not fulfilled.
So far there is no official assurance from both sides if they will choose another way to end the impasse and they are still stiking to their points. ....

New Delhi, Dec 30 : A crucial and decisive sixth round of dialogue between the Centre and the 41 farmers representatives began on Wednesday here to end the deadlock as the agitation entered 35th day.
The meeting started around 2.30 p.m. at Vigyan Bhavan in the presence of Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Consumer Affairs Minister Piyush Goyal and Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Parkash.
Agriculture Secretary Sanjay Agarwal and other Ministry officials also are attending the meeting. ....

New Delhi, Dec 12 : Agitating farmer unions here have circulated a message among their cadres across the nation to make India a toll-free country for Saturday in the ongoing protest against the three farm laws enacted by Parliament.
The message was circulated a day ago and the announcement was made in two previous farmers meeting held at Singhu border on Delhi-Chandigarh highway on Thursday and Friday.
A particular wing of protesting farmers led by a few of their representatives have moved towards Delhi-Gurgaon toll plaza to begin their scheduled protest. ....
