Orlando band Body Shop finds hope and renewal in things falling apart
"I felt a little threatened," Sam Crow, frontperson of superlative Orlando garage-punks Spoon Dogs and half of new Orlando band Body Shop, recalls of the first time he saw his future partner and musical collaborator, Kit Dee, on stage fronting Red Rodeo. "Our first show together, Spoon Dogs played first. Red Rodeo followed, and I'm like, 'OK, this person is really good, stage presence is really good.' Second song, third song, I'm like, 'OK, any minute now you can be done playing, please be done playing.' If they do too many more songs our set is not gonna matter."
