WATERLOO â The Waterloo Town Council has a new member, but he is no stranger to the town. Greg Iddings has joined the five-member council after a Republican caucus elected him Tuesday to fill a vacancy created by David Boltonâs resignation. The caucus meeting in the Waterloo Grant Township Public Library turned out to be a formality, because Iddings was the only applicant for the open council seat. âI like the town. I like being here,â Iddings said before precinct committee leaders Jess Jessup, Josh Caudill and Sue Bauermeister elected him. Jessup and Caudill also are council members. Iddings will complete Boltonâs term that runs through Dec. 31, 2023. Bolton resigned after 9 1/2 years on the council because he has moved to a home in rural DeKalb County. ....
AUBURN â Austin Miller was looking for the right person to join him and founder Steve Post in Post & Miller Inc., an Auburn accounting firm. âThe guy that I thought was right for us had been sitting in front of me for the last five years,â Miller said. It was one of his clients, Jordan Pfister. âWe had worked together five years or so,â with Miller preparing taxes for Pfisterâs business, Heartland Castings in Waterloo, Miller said. âI would talk to him on the phone ⦠about complex tax issues, and he got it. Thatâs not typical.â Pfister, 29, quickly accepted Millerâs invitation to join Post & Miller, a firm started by Auburn native Steve Post in April 1974. ....
