The Humane Society says 80 beagle puppies are still used in toxicity testing that involves forcing them to ingest a drug via stomach tube every day for months on end. They say the first wave of dogs is scheduled to be killed in mid-May.
"The slaughter pipeline is no place for our horses," the head of the Humane Society of the United States says.
