At the Marine City Commission’s Dec. 14 meeting, commissioners discussed several items, including the purchase of a new wood chipper, a water plant purchase, the recent land donation to a nonprofit and more.
Indian Head Industries Inc. recently donated 14 acres of vacant land, which formerly housed the Detroit Gasket and Manufacturing plant, to Marine City-based nonprofit Klieman Park Inc. to use for a park.
"I think these 14 acres that are at the heart of city limits is going to be a gem for the community," Klieman said.
