A long-standing Santa Maria news/talk radio station will go off the air, a country music station will get new owners and a third station owned by Knight
Local news-talk radio station KUHL 1440, which has operated in Santa Maria since 1955, will soon stop broadcasting, the station's news director Ben Heighes said Wednesday.
KUHL 1440 AM radio, "The Information Station," in Santa Maria will soon be going off the air. "This pains me very much," said owner Sandra Knight.
The donation of KSYV will help KCLU extend its broadcast to audiences that are difficult to reach due to challenging terrain.
