首家南韓銀行來台！金管會核准韓亞銀行設立分行

金管會 17 日宣布，核准韓商韓亞銀行（KEB Hana Bank）設立在台分行申請案，該行為首家在台灣設立分行的南韓銀行，主要是基於台灣與南韓間經貿關係密切，而且為南韓前十大貿易往來國，申設分行能大力拓展兩地的金融市場及服務，有利銀行業務發展及完善海外網絡。
金管會銀行局主秘童政彰表示，韓亞銀行 2019 年就已經來拜會主管機關，瞭解我國相關法令，主要是台韓雙方貿易熱絡，所以韓亞銀行希望能提供在台韓商金融服務，像是三星、LG 在台都設有行銷據點，因此未來營運將以企金為主，預計核准後 8 個月內要開業。
童政彰指出，南韓韓亞銀行成立自 1971 年，為目前南韓海外據點最多的銀行，主要業務範圍包括企業金融業務、消費金融業務及信託與退休基金管理等業務，在全球各地共有 195 個營業據點，具有豐富海外據點營運經驗及支援海外業務發展。
依據 2020 年 7 月底銀行家（The Banker）雜誌排名，童政璋指出，韓亞銀行總資產全球排名第 78 名，自有資本（Tier 1 Capital）全球排名第 81 名，符合外國銀行分行及代表人辦事處設立及管理辦法第二條所列全球排名前 500 大的要求。
童政彰強調，韓亞銀行為首家在台灣設立分行的南韓銀行，主要基於台灣與南韓間經貿關係密切，而且為南韓前十大貿易往來國，設立台北分行有助於我國金融市場國際化，對提升台灣及韓國雙邊貿易及投資關具有正面效益。
