By: Clayton Cummins OKLAHOMA CITY - A long road to recovery began for a pedestrian who was hit by a car earlier this month. First responders were called to the parking lot of a Walmart at I-240 and Santa Fe around 7:30 p.m. April 6. Witnesses called 911 after a car hit Koty Holmes and fled the scene. Holmes has since been released from the hospital. “I don’t remember anything from that day, at all,” Holmes said. “It’s driving me nuts. I don’t know what happened, why or anything. You don’t get hit by a car every day, so it drives you crazy.”

The driver was accused of hitting a homeless woman earlier this week in the parking lot of a metro Walmart. Police said the 32-year-old homeless victim remains at OU Medical Center. Koty Holmes was recovering from serious injuries to nearly her entire body, according to the police accident report.
