When the Perham Public Schools announced that they wouldn't have funding for the Summer Feeding Program for summer 2022, a group of local residents came together to change this.
Both students and staff have experienced a "huge" and positive impact from the new student support positions added at Heart of the Lakes Elementary School, Principal Liz Johnson shared at a recent school board meeting. Positions for a library media specialist, literacy coach and social worker were added in July 2021.
