(WXOW) - Last week the U.S. Preventative Service Task Force expanded recommendations for lung cancer screenings. The changes double the number of people eligible for screening. The biggest change reduces the age of eligibility from 55 to 50. "We know in the five-year gap of age and a ten-year gap in smoking history, we know that we're going to capture another six million people who would be eligible for screening," said Dr. Kurt Oettel of Gundersen Health System.
