“I had a young lady in my cab with her infant in her lap, and they hit my cab. They hit the passenger window on her side. Her infant started crying, and luckily the window didn’t burst into pieces. Luckily, she didn’t get hurt. But honestly, we started feeling like it just wasn’t safe for us anymore,” Kusko Cab driver Musa Saliu said.
Credit Bethel Police Department Early on the morning of July 5, a man allegedly shot a Bethel cab driver in the face and stole his cab on the 200 block of Ptarmigan Road. A passerby who noticed a man with a gunshot wound in his lower face lying on the road called the police to report the incident at around 3:30 a.m. Responding officers and medics arrived on the scene and transported the wounded Kusko Cab driver to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in an ambulance.
