“Overall, the levy is increasing, at this point, by $151,023. That would represent an 8.94% increase compared to pay 2023,” said Todd Netzke, president of School Management Services, LLC (SMS) in Shorewood, Minn.
On Monday, Superintendent Jay Kjos proposed hiring School Management Services, LLC (SMS) of Shorewood, Minn. for one year. The cost is $85,000.
The school board agreed to decrease the maximum levy by $58,012, for a final 2023 levy of $1,688,953. This is a 2.62% – or $43,104 – increase over last year.
At the Monday, Sept. 19 meeting, the board postponed the purchase of a batting cage until more construction details were decided.
The changes are incorporated in the 2022-23 student handbook, which they adopted at their Monday, Aug. 15 meeting.
