A Kansas City man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly participating in Jan. 6, 2020, riots at the U.S. Capitol.
“Kumer claimed he was pushing against the crowd to protect his elderly mother from injury,” a court document said. “Kumer stated he brought his elderly mother to the tunnel to fully experience the moment.”
Kyle Kumer, 43, of Kansas City, is the 28th Missouri resident to be charged in connection with the Capitol riot.
