Etikett.de installs two ABG Digicon 3 finishing machines

German label converter etikett.de has invested in two A B Graphic International’s Digicon Series 3 finishing machines to expand production capacity in line with its increasing market penetration ambitions.
Established in 2011, etikett.de aims to become Germany’s market leader for online label production due to its competitive pricing strategy. The company benefits from its lean work processes and efficient technology, state-of-the-art equipment, and 70-strong team.
Being modular in design, both of etikett.de s new Digicon Series 3s have been configured to meet its production requirements. One of the machines features ABG’s Fast Track die-cutting module, suited for large jobs of 1,500 linear meters or more at speeds of up to 150 m/min. Also included on this machine is an auto-slit module, which features a label gap sensor and automatically setting knives. ....

Marvaco invests in nyloflex Xpress

Following a relocation to a new production facility in Helsingborg, Sweden, Marvaco Group has invested in nyloflex Xpress Thermal system to reduce solvent processing in plate manufacturing and increase the sustainability of its production.
‘This technology installation is the first of its kind in Scandinavia. Our unit in Helsingborg is now the first completely solvent-free pre-press house in the Nordic countries,’ said Jan Viberg, GM of Marvaco Sweden. ‘Customer demand is constantly rising, and this allows us to continue to provide the highest-quality services more sustainably.’
The new premises are planned for an optimal production flow with efficient heating and lower energy consumption. At the same time, the installation of state-of-the-art equipment reduces energy consumption compared to traditional plate production. This, combined with the site s strategical location, leads to more eco-efficient and agile flexo plate production. ....

Fix-A-Form appoints new manager

Fix-A-Form, a Suffolk-based maker of label finishing machinery, has appointed Chris Jones as its new general manager to oversee a global expansion given an unexpected boost in business by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Fix-a-Form International is the manufacturing wing of Denny Brothers, founded 75 years ago in Bury St Edmunds, which invented expanded content labels (ECL). The multi-page leaflet label, which removes the need for bulky in-box leaflets, is greatly used in the pharmaceutical sector.
