Edwards County schools will remain in remote learning Monday and Tuesday. The district will make a determination Monday concerning the remainder of the week and activities. At last count, the district had about 35 percent of students in quarantine, up from about 30 percent last Monday, when the board of education shut down in-person learning. As of last Thursday, Edwards County had recorded a total of 819 cases of the coronavirus. 69 cases had been reported from August 19th through 25th, with all but six of the cases being people who were unvaccinated. 38-year-old Angel A.
